Micah's 5th birthday

Happy 5th birthday Micah!

We praise God for your little life and cannot even believe that you are a whole hand already. We celebrated the day with a fireman party....so fun.

Then on Friday we took Micah to build-a-bear for his birthday date. The agreement was that if his tag could stick out of the stuffed animal he would put his blankie inside the animal and stop sucking his thumb. My precious baby is growing up! So now we have a monkey named after Micah himself (HAMMY) that has a frog on his back :-)

Summer Highlights

Camping with friends at the KOA in Lynden-it is in our back yard!-ha!

Camping in Ocean Shores...2 days of sun (the rest was rain). Thank God for a warm and dry trailer to sleep in! The kite flying was lots of fun and it was great to be together as a family. Jeff even taught me how to play dominos. We had fun with some new kites.

The first year in about 10 that we have had the 4th of July off...we enjoyed the day very much...making star cookies, doing projects, making pies, shooting off fireworks with friends, and doing sparklers. So great!

A visit from my dear high school friend Brenda Love....always a joy to be together.
Hailey loves baby Miranda! We so enjoyed a wonderful week with Jeff's brother Randy and his family from Iowa. My blessed sister-in-law flew out here with a five week old as well as a 3 & 5 year old....that is love!

Taylor got to take horseback riding lessons this summer. She loved it!

Miranda Joy Ten Pas

Here are some precious pictures of my new baby niece Miranda Joy that I had the priviledge of taking when she was just six weeks old! Randy & Kristi came from Iowa with the girls and we had the most wonderful week! Everyone was sad to see them go. I didn't have time to scrapbook these yet but wanted to share because I am thrilled with how good they turned out!

I was blessed to be able to go along on Taylors field trip to Post Point this year. It was so amazing and I was so glad that we live on the west coast! Taylors grade went while they were studying a tide pool unit. We saw so many wonderful forms of sea life!

So often I have a hard time being grateful for all the laundry that I wash, fold, and put away. As a mom there is always so much work to do and I feel like I never get done with it. One day I took a picture of my laundry just to document the way I spend so much of my time. Taylor popped into the pictures and I was instantly reminded that I should be grateful that God has given me all this laundry to fold....Thank you God for my family!
