A precious photoshoot!

This afternoon one of my cousins came over with her little boy who is the most smiley kid I have ever met. Here are a few of my favorites! I still have a lot to learn but it is great to shoot in RAW! I could seriously do this all day long every day! What a sweet baby and don't you just love his hair!!!!!!!!

Last day of Basketball

Today is Hailey's last basketball game. It has been a lot of fun and she has really enjoyed herself and grown as a player....she is so haphazard as she plays....it is hilarious to watch her! She loves to play defense and has had the whistle blown several times for stealing the ball from the other team (you can't do that in the YMCA league). She is always right in the middle of the action and loves to get the rebound....even though she is one of the shortest little pipsqueaks out there! We are glad she has her own thing to succeed at! And Coach Lisa is awesome!

February Highlights

Jeff and I enjoyed one anothers company immensely on Valentines Day. We stayed home and made Chinese....Egg Fried Rice, Chow Mein, and Beff and Broccoli Stir Fry. It turned out great and we enjoyed several hours of conversation! Thanks to Dad and Mom for having all the kids to their house for a party! Despite our best intentions we rarely share a quiet meal together. What a treat! This verse comes to mind when I look through these pictures.... Greater love has no one than this that he laid down his life for his friends. What a gift!

The tooth fairy came to Micah's room for the first time ever last week! After the dentist and orthodontist examined the tooth we were free to give it up. However, Micah wrote a note asking the tooth fairy if he could keep his tooth...How could she say no???!!! So he was spoiled rotten with $10 and getting to keep his tooth! He is on cloud 9!

I got my hair cut and straightened today. She cut nearly a foot off and I will be mailing it to locks for love. It feels so good to have it shaped and styled again! I was feeling rather beastly!

Big Kids Now

This day started off being full of potential! We got the girls off to school and then Micah and I started making valentine cookies....So cute! I finally caved and let him crack the eggs himself! I am not one for eating egg shell but.....well, I guess you let the last one do things that you didn't let the first one! These are precious memories to me. I am sure it won't be long before he doesn't want to be caught dead in the kitchen with me so I might as well make it fun while I can!

We invited a few friends to share our cookies with us who also didn't have school today... We all made a few homemade valentines with the good ole' glitter, stamps, ink, stickers, glue, and flower petals :-)

In the afternoon we went to Dr. Yeh's new office in Lynden and Hailey had an appointment there to check on her rake...seems to be working! Horray! And the office is beautiful! Moving right along...we dropped the kids off at church because some dear souls offered to watch kids at Sonlight so that parents could go out. It touched my heart to see them all receiving all these kids with such love...I heard there were like 60 kids there! Wow! We had decided to get together with our small group to do something called Party Grill. Jeff and I had never done it before but we are thinking we may need to buy one of these things....it was so much fun and our 3 hours went so fast! What special friends we have. Honestly we are so undeserving of these wonderful couples! They have blessed our lives richly! Anyway, you cut up all different kinds of foods to your liking and cook them on this tiny little skillet for a few minutes. Kathy's hubby is a great cook and made fried rice which was wonderful (even though he didn't think so)! I didn't get around to taking many pictures and the ones Jeff took didn't turn out so well so I will have to get copies from my friends...

About 45 minutes into our evening we got a call from church saying Micah had a little accident and his teeth were bleeding...or at least that is what Jeff told me....so he went to check on Micah and see how things were. Funny kid had been playing on the blue furniture movers at church and went running toward one to get a bit more action and somehow it tipped and he face planted into the carpet which isn't so soft....He got a rug burn by his nose and his upper right central incisor was knocked out....look at the root on this thing...it is nearly 1 inch in length...probably was pulled from the jaw bone all the way up in his nose....Fortunately his nose wasn't broken or any other bones! We called my mom and she looked at it this morning. She says the remaining tooth sustained trauma and will probably need a root canal to prevent infection. And the accident knocked that tooth into an underbite so it is hard for him to chew so we may need some ortho treatment as well. Bummer....and so ends my days with baby teeth smiles....My kids are all big kids now and Micah thinks it is pretty cool that he has lost a tooth!
